Welcome to MyEggPlates.com a place for egg plates.
Over the years I have amassed quite a collection of egg plates, and wanted some where beyond just a spiral notebook to record the egg plate collection.
As I inventory each egg plate, I will be including a picture, and brief summary of when I obtained the plate and how it came to pass. I hope you enjoy looking around.
I have over 50 egg plates. Some very old and unusual and some new for now.
All my friends have given plates for differant occasions, and my family has loved
finding them at flea markets and garage sales. Glad to know that I am not the only
one who likes them.
So nice to hear from another collector. My son set up the page as a gift and I am just beginning to add photos and comments for my “close to 100” egg plates. I look forward to your comments and suggestions as I add to the site.
I HAVE OVER 50…LOVE’EM THE HUNT NOW IS WHAT I LOVE..KANDY
I’ve recently decided that I will master the deviled egg and get fancy with them!
First stop? Egg plate! I love your blog and hope you continue.
I was surprised to find only 4 plates at my local antique mall.
April just keep looking. I have found that if you ask the manager at an antique store there may be many more plates in storage. They tend to only display a few at a time. I have found some unique plates when I asked “do you have any more of these in storage”. I understand the need to maintain an appearance of “supply and demand with supply limited”, but if there is an interest sometimes you will get to a look at the storage items. There are many new productions as well as the antiques. My favorite are the “carnival glass” plates, but my collection includes ceramic as well as glass. I hope to add more pictures to this blog very soon, so watch for updates. The best way to master the deviled egg is to taste as you go. Yummy.
My husband and I are liquidating our collection–we have about 60 left. Anyone interested in purchasing any?
